I live in madison wi,and am looking for good insurance(auto & Renters).I have a dui from 2005 and a driving while suspended,and just got my first speeding ticket last november.my monthly payment jumped from $174 to $291.I need to find another provider.anyone know of somewhere?

That company with the Lizard, Caveman and Money sprouting eyeballs really did me wrong I would not recommend them.

well, to be honest, no matter what your insurance is going to be high because of the ticket on your record. However, i though i had points on my license too and i signed up for auto insurance and it was 243 a month. i'm 20. and i had a ticket on there from a one car accident. Turns out i didn't have any points on my license but it is still that high. go figure. anyways, try progressive or all state. you can get online quotes from a lot of places. I tried, Progressive, allstate, Geico, nationwide, esurance, liberty mutual, Safe auto, and a bunch of others. Good luck and i hope you learned that when you drink and drive your not only endangering yourself, but other people too. Make good decisions, because this is the only live you've got.

For car insurance the quick way to get a low rate is do a rate comparison on auto policies. Make sure that you compare similar policies with the same deductibles, car model, zip code, etc so that all options are a good comparison.
What I always recommend is an internet comparison quote at http://www.lowratetoday.com since they have top name insurers and can give multiple quotes on auto insurance polices.

It depends on your age and if you are going to drink and drive you don't even need a car!! You sound too young for the problems you have. Try Direct Ins. but you now have a bad record and it will cost you no matter where you go for Ins. Just a word of advice if you are going to drink stay home or get a responsible driver. You should realize it is not only your life but the live of others on the road.

Whatever you do, don't let your insurance lapse. I don't think there are many companies that will take you at all with that record.
The company with the Gecko, caveman and money with eyeballs has been very good to me, but I don't know if they will take you.
