Most companies don’t routinely check your record at every renewal because it costs too much to do it, but they will see it at some point; what happens then depends on their underwriting policy. Chances are, though, that that much over will hurt you some.

if you were driving a big rig, there is a mandatory 6 month suspension. if in a car, yes, it will affect your insurance.
