I'm looking for my first car and I'd like to know what you think would be a good choice thats cheap and stylish. I'm only worried about how much the car is going to cost, not including the insurance or gas.

-Cheap to buy or lease (I'm going back to New York eventually so I would want a short-term lease only)

-Cool enough to drive to parties in the Hollywood Hills. It does not have to be expensive, just cool and hip. Artsy fartsy or classic car styles are ok.

-Compact so it is easy to park. Fuel economy is less important. I won't be driving a lot.
