So we all like to save as much money on car insurance as possible. I'm debating switching to independant cus it'll save me about $120-240 a year (i'm starting to sound like a commercial). Anyway this is a question for people who currently have or had independant Auto Insurance. I hear internet car insurance companies tend to be bad when it comes time to file claims etc. I haven't had an accident (knock on wood) but if it happens, I'd like to know i would not have a huge run around dealing with independant..any good or bad experiences with them?

I have recently obtained my learner's driver license in Quebec. Do we need to register my name with my parents' car in order for me to drive?
And if yes, does it significantly increase the premium (ie: I am still a minor and never driven before)
So my friend and his family say that they have a plane through nationwide which covers all family members and friends on thei vehicles. My friend who is 16 is not insured as a listed driver or owner of the vehicle which is under his dads name but is insured because he is family. What is the name of this plan because our agent is yelling at us saying there is no such thing and is trying to charge us a crazy amount for my son's auto insurance as a listed driver. Thanks

I just moved to LA from Illinois. I have Allstate car insurance in Illinois. I found if I switch to an Allstate VA car policy, I need to pay as much as twice of my current payment.
I received very good quote from eSurance on my 2 vehicles. My friends told me that sometimes insurance companies (especially those less not cheap) can drop their clients after claim, which results in higher rate later on. Does anybody have any experiance with Esurance and their claim department. I can save a lot of money by switching to Esurance but if that's going to get me in trouble I'd rather stay with my currant provider and pay them more. Anybody experianced "droping" by the car insurance company? Esurance have a lot of commercials on TV and radio but does that make them good? Any suggestions? Please give me any answers. Thank you.
I am just visiting th US and will be staying for 4 months.. I have an international drivers license. But people keep telling me that i need to have car insurance before i can drive..
chapter 13 insurance. now over for over a year. does state farm check credit ratings periodically just to clip you and charge you more? would so love to have cheaper auto ins.
If someone is driving and they intentionally either go around the crossing bars or try to beat the train and they are hit, does insurance pay? What about if they die? If they live? Is it just part of a property damage claim? What if they had liability only?
