currently I'm paying $1,360 for my car insurance every 6 months and that is after deductions from doing good, it's a 96' camry 4 door sedan, basically I bought it for like $1,800 it has around 175,000 Miles and I went to driving school, I recently was employed so I was driving around 25 Miles a day total, I have A's and B's for grades (High-school), I'm going to college, I'm 18yrs old with a clean record and I have had my license for about 10 Months now.
I'm considering switching from my State Farm to Geico car insurance. I've heard some people have had good results from them but I need to hear if anyone has had any bad situations when they needed Geico. Please respond only if you had negative results. thank you!
I'm turning 16 in 3 months and I have my eye on 2 cars… a pretty blue vw beetle or a silver scion tc. which would have a higher insurance, and by how much? I'm female and I live in Washington.
It caused significant damage to my car ($3500+ in parts alone). I did not see the car the debris fell out of, and when I returned about 15 minutes later with my camera to take pictures of the debris, someone had already called a private street cleaner to pick it up. What should I do? Is it possible to find who hired the street cleaning company, and then ask them who hired them for the clean -up? It all seems shady to me and I believe the person who failed to secure the cargo he / she was carrying should be financially responsible. Any suggestions or similar situations would be greatly appreciated!

This time last yr I was accused of crashing into someones car. What actually happened was the driver rolled into my car. He is trying to make a claim against me and it has caused me a great deal of stress. To the extent to which I have almost lost my girlfriend through worrying about it… as it made me rather angry at being ripped off so badly!.. my car insurance would increase by over £1000 a year!!
If this goes to court and is ruled in my favour… then the way I see it is he has broken the law in making a fraudulent claim… I have pictures of both vehicles showing no damage. And he is actually claiming for his daughter… i didnt see anyone else in the car and my insurance are in the process of gaining access to check the school records for that day.
My question is…. if it is proved he is lieing… can i put in a claim through my car insurance company to be compensated for the stress caused???????

I'm a big believer in Karma.. that's why I thought about makin a claim… cos right now Karma owes me!! It's been really stressful! I have been in a car crash were everyone in the car claimed apart from me because I genuinley wasn't that injured and didnt feel it necesary to claim.. where as this has really caused mental anguish!
I was on my way home and hit an ice patch. I started sliding and almost had it under control when I slid into the guard rail of a bridge. I then drove home. In order to put a claim into my insurance company (Geico) do I need to have a police report?
less. what i am really looking for is an car insurance company that does not require payments monthly, just something that's like every 2 months payment or every 3 months payment, or every 6 months, or something like that. please help because i don't know what car insurance companies that let you pay like what i was mentioning earlier, and i need to know by this weekend so i can call some places this weekend and inquire about their policies. thanks
note: this is my first car, and I just wanted to get some car insurance companies that are not so high in payments whether it was monthly or every 6 months (so i would prefer you give me inexpensive companies or some that are not that expensive). by the way, i think i'm purchasing a 2005 dodge stratus sxt

a month, we cant afford to give her the car because it's a second car, I had bought her a used car last year but she crashed it while talking on her cell phone in winter on a curve, She hit another car and totaled hers, She's planning to go to University of Dubuque, I think she should save money from her part time job and buy her own. Should I help ou with any of it? Like Insurance or help with down payment or an amount of it?? Or just give her the 2nd car?? I know im a pushover. By the way she'll be 17 in December and is going to be a high school senior.
For car insurance, it was under my husband's and mine's account. We are billed $490 but my husband passed away. Anyway, I did automatic payment on the 15th charged from my bank account and on the same day I called the insurance company to update my insurance, exclusively under my name because my husband passed away already. He said that I don't have to pay the 490 balance but we will start fresh….but I already paid the 490 and it appears from my bank statement as deducted. Can I get back or cancel it? I couldn't call them this time because it's too early yet.
